Frequently asked questions
Is Read Rocket free?
Yes for teachers and parents. No credit card is required to create a class or log reading at home. A branded school, library, or business page is $10 per month for unlimited readers.
Is Read Rocket the same as Reading Rockets?
No. Read Rocket is a reading log at readrocket.org, published by Spark Press Studios. It is not Reading Rockets from WETA, and it is not Lexplore's Reading Rocket.
Does Read Rocket use quizzes like Accelerated Reader?
No. When a book is finished, the reader writes a short recap or records their voice. A teacher or parent verifies the log. There is no quiz bank and no comprehension score.
Who can see a child's reading log?
The parent who logs the book sees that child's books, pages, and recap. The teacher of the class sees the roster and verifies the log. A sponsor sees books logged, active readers, subscribed classes, and prizes delivered.
